Job Description

Position Title: Fleet IT Technician

Department: Technology

Reports to: VP of Information Technology

Category: Salary NonExempt

Position summary:

The Fleet IT Technician will provide 1st tier support to identify, investigate and resolve technical problems and perform regular maintenance on mobile frac fleet networks in a Windows-based environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provisions new devices (computers, monitors, switches, etc.) and tracks and maintains company computing assets tied to operating fleet equipment
  • Supports network devices, PCs, servers, printers, cameras, and other devices
  • Monitors ticketing system for assignment and completion of trouble tickets/requests
  • Documents resolutions, escalates unsolved issues, and produces user-facing guides and FAQs to facilitate self-service

Position Requirements:
 

  • 2+ years experience with installation and repair of computing hardware and software
  • 2+ years experience with basic computer networking
  • Experience with Windows OS architecture and management tools (patching and administration)
  • High school graduate (preferred)
  • Relevant industry experience is an asset
