Qualcomm's Emulation Team is part of the central SoC digital hardware organization responsible for the overall development and support of SoC pre-silicon platforms. The Emulation team works closely with architects, designers, verification engineers, software engineers, and customers. The team is currently seeking candidates with experience in the following technical disciplines, languages and methodologies:

• Emulation Platforms (FPGA Prototyping, Veloce, Palladium), Emulation tools (Synthesis, Place and Route, Constraints, Clocking) System Debug (Waveform generation and Content Debug support)
• SoC Functionality (CPU/DSP Core, Multimedia, IO, Peripherals, DDR, Modem, Bus Protocols) with key focus on Graphics Processing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.

Required skills

• Over 5 years of experience in emulation and silicon environments.
• Extensive knowledge of RTL level digital design using SystemVerilog, Verilog, and/or VHDL.
• Proficiency with Emulation/FPGA and/or SoC design, development tools, and methodologies.
• Capability to multitask within a diverse team setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired skills

• Experience in re-targeting ASIC designs to FPGA platforms.
• Experience in partitioning and validating large-scale designs across multiple FPGAs.
• Debugging low-level software and hardware issues.
• Familiarity with debug tools such as JTAG and kernel debuggers.
• Understanding of CPU and SoC architectures.
• Fundamental knowledge of power and performance.
• Experience in programming with C.
• Pre-silicon enabling and bring-up experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and TCL.
• Experience in system-level debugging.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
