THE TEAM 

The Commodities Oil & Products trading desk market makes in a variety of energy products as part of a global team. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to price and execute derivatives transactions, stay connected with market events across commodity markets, and work with the wider team to support and build the overall business

Job Summary & Responsibilities

  • Organize market data, analytics done by individual members of the team in a centralized repository
  • Improve, build upon the existing analysis by studying correlations, second-order effects, quantifying risk-reward metrics etc.
  • Assisting in pricing, executing transactions particularly in oil options – vanilla and exotic
  • Executing and booking of flow-based trades across oil complex 
  • Understanding commodities market fundamentals and trends and communicating information succinctly to salespeople and clients
  • Producing commentary ranging from a variety of client e-mails to weekly and monthly strategy performance updates

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/DEGREE AND FIELD:

  • Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
  • Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role, preferable oil & refined product knowledge
