Our UK ECM and Corporate Broking team executes both equity capital markets transactions as well as Corporate Broking. Within Corporate Broking the team provides strategic equity advice alongside spearheading the broader financial advisory inputs to clients – typically large cap and complex organizations as well as mid cap companies with growth ambitions. The team is also instrumental in contributing towards the successful completion of M&A transactions across the wider GS client base as well as with Corporate Broking clients.
Their UK ECM function entails working closely with public and private companies, governments and financial sponsors to originate, structure, and execute equity financings such as initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, block trades, convertibles and derivatives.
The team works closely with many other areas of the firm, particularly with wider investment banking teams globally and equity sales and trading.
Role Responsibilities
- You will play a critical role in the provision of thoughtful, creative energetic and market focused advisory input for our Corporate Broking coverage list, as well as for other wider clients across the investment bank
- You will also be responsible for executing UK equity capital markets transactions with diligence, accuracy and pace
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ investment banking or equivalent experience
- History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
- Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions
- Demonstrate maturity to work with all levels of professionals across the firm and outside clients
- Possess good judgment to make quick and complex decisions
