About this Role

Heavy Equipment Mechanic with emphasis on hydraulic and diesel systems repair, maintenance, fabrication and assembly.

Hourly: $30.00 - $40.00 DOE

What You'll Do

  • Work on site at Crux main shop (possible opportunity to work long/short term on job site).
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair small to medium size desil engines (10-500 horsepower).
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mobile equipment hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose, maintain, install, and repair electrical systems/components on mobile vehicles and equipment (mostly DC, some AC).
  • Use of laptop and engine manufacturer's software to troubleshoot and maintain mobile equipment (Cummins, Deutz, Etc.).
  • Inspects equipment components to ensure that components are in safe working condition. 
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner. 
  • Maintains clean and organized work area.
  • Clean equipment before and/or after services and repair.
  • Performs routine service, maintenance and repair to equipment. 
  • Performs other shop duties as assigned by supervisor. 

What You'll Bring

  • Required experience in hydraulics and diesel power. 
  • Required to provide own hand tools and toolbox (bottom cabinet type minimum). Required tools include sockets/wrenches from 1/4 to 1-1/8, full screwdriver set, pliers, etc. (typical professional mechanic tool set). 
  • Required to provide steel toed boots. 
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. 
  • Ability to follow Crux outlined procedures and learn new processes. 
  • Willingness to work alone and with others in a safe and efficient way. 

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $30.00/Hr. - USD $40.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
