Are you a skilled engineering professional seeking an opportunity to make a real impact? ZPS is seeking a qualified ICS/SCADA Virtualization Engineer to support a US Government Customer.

Position Title: ICS/SCADA VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER

Location: San Antonio, TX – Onsite 5x a week

Clearance Requirement: SECRET

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior ICS Virtualization Engineer to provide expert-level engineering services for building ICS virtualized training ranges. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Terraform and Ansible, and a strong background in industrial control systems (ICS) and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Virtualization & Network Design: Build virtual machines (VMs) using ESXi and VMWare, design network topology within Levels 1-3, and create network diagrams based on customer requirements.
• System Design & Integration: Develop control systems for automating industrial processes, research and customize open-source projects to virtualize hardware components (PLCs, HMIs, Gateways), and ensure seamless communication between system components in a virtualized environment.
• Programming & Configuration: Develop and modify software using JAVA and Python to configure control systems, establish connections between components, and optimize system performance.
• Maintenance & Cybersecurity: Perform system updates, security patches, and monitor system performance. Implement cybersecurity measures, assess vulnerabilities, and maintain system integrity.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, create user manuals, and ensure all systems comply with industry standards and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Software, or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 7 years (5 years with a Master’s) of relevant experience, including hands-on experience building ICS virtualized training ranges.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible (must-have).
  • Experience with ESXi and VMWare for building and configuring VMs.
  • Strong programming skills in JAVA and Python.
  • Knowledge of network topology and configuration within ICS environments.
