General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a Business Development/Product Marketing manager for Japan IEoT market in our product marketing team. The successful candidate is expected to utilize Qualcomm chipset portfolio, the unified software framework, and tailored solutions for diverse IEoT verticals. These segments encompass consumer devices (home appliances, smart displays, home robotics, consumer products etc.), commercial and enterprise applications (retail, drones, security cameras, etc.), and industrial applications (controllers, industrial robotics, industrial PCs, gateway etc.)
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and develop business opportunities with OEMs and Qualcomm global teams via complex analysis of markets, customers, technologies, ecosystem demands in order to guide product planning and design conversations with customers/ partners
- Lead team collaboration in the creation, validation, and confirmation of business cases for product development with given appropriate business direction and aligned company strategies, which could include to create Industrial and Embedded IOT’s Proof-of-Concept (PoC)
- Market new and complex Industrial and Embedded IOT platforms and technologies through technical marketing opportunities, such as customer meetings, conferences, and persuade customers to drives product portfolio and innovation alignment with Qualcomm's platform, technologies, and support efforts
- Align and scale OEMs product portfolios with Snapdragon Industrial and Embedded IOT platforms and solutions, facilitate to kick off engineering supports, and bridge feature discrepancy
- Oversee customer product development cycle and support to address newly added feature analysis and bridge gap with relevant teams
- Translate customer feedback and external environment situations into potential change suggestions for internal platform roadmap and priorities, and well communicate this to internal stakeholders.
- Initiate/ develop strategic relationship with ecosystem partners and their key decision makers / influencers for strengthening Snapdragon Industrial and Embedded IOT ecosystem, aligned with Qualcomm strategic objectives
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of Qualcomm products and value proposition, and provide persuasive presentations to customers and partners to implement product positioning strategies
- Collect and analyze market intelligence and trends for business development, product planning and design, counter plan development, KPI settings, etc.
- Support cross-country Qualcomm teams to achieve common business goals
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management, product marketing, technical marketing, or related work experience in Industrial and Embedded IOT Industry
- 3+ years of working in a large matrixed and global organization
- Familiarity with major Industrial and Embedded IOT relevant OEMs' product planning and development processes
- Strong industry connection in Industrial and Embedded IOT ecosystem and vertical markets that includes, but not limited to wireless module makers, Industrial IoT relevant business such a Single Board Computer product and Edge Gateway
- Ability to work in a in a cross-functional, international team
- Excellent communication skills - Must be able to quickly understand complex concepts, simplify and translate them for a variety of audiences, and communicate them very clearly and effectively.
- Native fluency in Japanese as well as exceptionally strong English language skill is a firm requirement
- Substantial experience working with external partners and customers is required
- Business Development experience in Application processor, SoC or MPU
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
