General Summary:

Join a team of highly skilled software developers building Qualcomm position location technology server products for GNSS and Terrestrial positioning. The team is responsible for designing and developing high quality, high throughput server solutions. We work closely with other software, systems and test engineers involved with research and development of location technology and build scalable systems that are deployed on cloud, serving millions of devices each day.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan and implement server components/microservices based on feature requirements
• Participate in design review, requirements clarification, code review and other project related discussions
• Technical documentation - design, implementation, service, release notes, user guides, etc.
• Co-ordinate with other teams for system integration, validation and deployment
• Debugging/troubleshooting of issues, unit testing
• Enhance and maintain existing set of server components and tools
• Support QA/DevOps teams in feature functionality and debugging
• Work with cross-functional geographically distributed teams

Required Skills:

• Software design/development experience in at least one of these programming languages – go, Java, C++
• Understanding of OOPS concepts, Software Fundamentals, DevOps processes
• Databases/data stores – Postgres, MySQL, Redis, SqlLite, RDS
• Cloud services – AWS, Azure
• Experience in developing large scale systems using microservices architecture
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Terraform, Datadog
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of wireless positioning technologies using 4G/5G/GNSS/WiFi
• Development experience in scalable distributed server systems/services on Linux
• Familiarity with telecommunication protocols
