Learning and Development Trainer - Analyst

YOUR IMPACT

Are you passionate about customer service? Do you have experience in delivering and designing training across large organisations? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic L&D Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. As an L&D Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering and evaluating training programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of our employees. You will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within Marcus.

     What you’ll do:

  • Deliver training programs through various channels, such as classroom sessions, virtual classrooms, webinars, and workshops, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and engagement.
  • Facilitate training sessions, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, and adapting delivery methods to accommodate different learning styles and participant needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and other evaluation methods, and make necessary improvements to enhance training outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs)to identify training needs and develop comprehensive learning objectives.
  • Assist the team by designing training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids, to meet the identified learning needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in learning technologies to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of training programs.
  • Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to support the onboarding of new employees and the ongoing development of existing staff members.
  • Maintain training records and reports, tracking training participation, effectiveness, and impact on employee performance.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Experienced trainer who has excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
  • Has a good understanding of learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and analyze data to measure training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Understanding of customer service experience and fundamentals of training
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a Learning and Development role – delivery and/or design
  • Product knowledge across Banking and Savings within retail banking 
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and other software to deliver high quality materials
  • Customer service / Training experience
