Material Coordinators ensure the efficient and continuous flow of materials between different departments and AFSCN sites according to supply demand and schedule. Material Coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to material handling equipment, asset handling, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration, repair, & certification support, according to established internal processes, procedures, and Performance Work Statements (PWS) that are derived from Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force Instruction (AFI), Military Standard (MIL-STD) guidelines and policies.
What You’ll Get to Do
Perform various tasks associated with Storage, Inventory, and Distribution Management within Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) guidelines and instruction IAW AFI 23-101, MIL-STD-2073-1E, and AFMCI 24-201. The use of contractor-developed or government-established SPI and or/special handling instructions is required for, but not limited to, ESDS Material, Hazardous Material, and pilferable material. When SPI or special handling instructions are not required, the use of commercial packaging and handling is authorized.
Provide material handling, and inventory control of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for calibration, repair, & certification support. Send government-owned TMDE to the local Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) for calibration in compliance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-113, Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL).
Comply with DoD’s IUID policy, to include compliance with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) requirements. Legibly mark or tag each repaired item with the company name, Air Force contract number, and the date of repair as close as practicable to existing nameplate/identifying markings IAW IUID requirements within AFI 23-101.
Coordinate with the Government upon receipt of a shipment with damaged or missing items. Document all damages and shortages discovered upon receipt of the item(s) IAW AFI 23-101. The Government will provide instructions for all condemnation/disposal actions. Advise the Government of any delays of repairable assets beyond the time limits specified along with the reason for the delay within three business days.
Apply procedures IAW DTR 4500.9-R, Part II - Cargo Movement, 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations, Federal Hazardous Materials Transportation Law, and International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR), or a suitable alternative, to all shipments moving within the DoD transportation system. If rapid transportation is necessary (e.g., MICAP), shipments are to be delivered to the customer by next-day delivery service when practicable. Accomplish all government property shipments via the following priority: Government Bill of Lading, Commercial Bill of Lading, and commercial mail.

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI’s government contract for the work location.
