Mechanical Asset Integrity Manager

Department: Asset Integrity- Mechanical

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt

Reports To: Director of Asset Integrity

Location: Midland, TX; Houston, TX; Leetsdale, PA

Amount of Travel Required: 80%

Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. (Overtime as necessary)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Mechanical Asset Integrity Manager will coordinate and communicate issues, concerns, and projects with all organizational team members involved with any mechanical endeavor particular to the Fleet, Facility or location as dictated by ongoing company operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'May.')

  • Reviews current equipment designs and work towards identifying and implementing any necessary changes for increased performance and less downtime.
  • Reviews planned work, maintenance, and repairs with the oversight of maintaining all applicable codes (OSHA, NIOSH, DOT).
  • Creates plan of action and costing for implementing design upgrades.
  • Assists Mechanical Coordinators and Field Supervisors with trouble shooting equipment to prevent NPT.
  • Schedules repairs of equipment and coordinating repairs when emergency break downs occur.
  • Ensures field operations follow SOP’s and best practices.
  • Researches and locates documentation on all equipment. (Drawings, schematics, BOMS’s etc.)
  • Schedules and leads necessary meetings with Mechanical and Operation teams (RU/RD, Equipment logistics, upgrade solutions, provide and implement corrective measures for near misses.
  • Regularly attends all other meetings related to Asset Integrity and supporting functions.
  • Works with vendors to make repairs and improve reliability.
  • Ensures both shop and warehouse are managed correctly and productively.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Employee having 2-year technical degree or above is preferred.
  • 7+ years mechanical field experience in oil and gas industry with applicable field mechanical management and/or mechanical facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Mechanical Asset Integrity Manager works both in a warehouse/shop environment and on pad sites, with both conditions making them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. When required to visit a pad site, the work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions, the manager is required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Mechanical Asset Integrity Manager may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently, and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
