Coordinate changes, revisions, and corrections with other mortgage staff, closing agents, and vendors. Record, track, and monitor documentation issues and productivity. Qualifications
  • Exposure to mortgage lending principles, concepts and practices including mortgage processing, servicing and underwriting
  • Exposure to reviewing/analyzing loans for compliance with Federal/state/county/NCUA/ laws, regulations and policies
  • Familiarity with mortgage/equity loan processing, closing, and documentation requirements and regulations
  • Familiarity with financial and credit transaction documentation processes
  • Experience in an accounting or banking operation, preferably dealing with payments, transactions, and balancing
  • Experience in member/customer service preferably in a call center/retail banking/financial institution
  • Familiarity with financial institution and lending practices, principles and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with automated systems
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Effective skill reviewing documents for errors, inconsistencies or missing information

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Location: 820 Follin Lane Vienna, Virginia 22180 | 141 Security Drive Winchester, VA 22602 

Responsibilities
  • Ensure investor-mandated documentation requirements are met by performing the GNMA and private investor pool final certification process
  • Contact key external third parties (e.g., county courthouses, settlement attorneys, title companies, and government agencies) to facilitate the correction and delivery of critical documents
  • Monitor and prioritize assigned pipeline of GNMA and private investor pools based on investor-mandated final certification deadlines ,and provides weekly document status updates to Secondary 
  • Package and ship critical documents to third party custodians to obtain final pool certification
  • Complete Equity Reviews & Re-Records on Deeds of Trust and Final Title policies 
  • Review scanned mortgage documentation and index the image into the appropriate document type
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal business units to correct erroneous information  supervision
  • Document identified issues; update documentation as issues are resolved 
  • Resolve escalated member issues and problems
  • Determine whether mortgage and equity loan documents conform to stated guidelines and requirements 
  • Examine booked loans to follow up on loans not yet received for review
  • File claims with title insurers regarding insured matters to confirm lien position
  • Research, analyze, and resolve issues related to documentation 
  • Review system of record for tax discrepancies and enter tasks for identified issues
  • Validate daily reports to track loans received and imaged for review
  • Deliver government loans that are in pools to the Comptroller
  • Examine mortgage loan exception files and follow up on escrow completions 
  • Verify timely receipt of final inspection and release of funds to appropriate party
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
