Location: Kimberlee

Amount of Travel Required: 10%

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM                               

Positions Supervised: Procurement Specialists

AIP Level: Level 6

POSITION SUMMARY: The individual directs and manages the activities of the Procurement Specialist and coordinates supply delivery. The lead will liaise with other procurement employees to ensure timely tendering, quoting, and purchasing, meeting client needs adequately. They will be accountable for ensuring client demands and contractual obligations are met for procuring all commodities and promptly processing delivery and exploration.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'may.')

  • Managing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
  • Delegating tasks and supervising the work of Purchasing and Procurement agents across all departments.
  • Creating policies and procedures for risk management
  • Manage, mentor, and periodically evaluate the performance of individual procurement specialists.
  • Receives, examines and processes requisitions; prepares bid specifications and other necessary documents related to the purchase of supplies, materials and equipment; prepares requisition or locates source of supply, and places orders with appropriate bidder(s)
  • Compares costs and evaluates the quality and suitability of supplies, materials and equipment.
  • Interviews and corresponds with vendors; keeps informed of new products and market conditions and trends.
  • Assists all departments in determining purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Maintains records on purchase price information on both open market and contract purchases and revises these as conditions change; obtains quotations on open market purchases.
  • Follows up with vendors to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • In-person predictable attendance 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business administration, or CPIM, CPM, or CSCP certification. 
  • 5+ years of management experience

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Considerable knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of a variety of supplies and materials, the best sources, and appropriate prices for the procurement of such goods
  • Considerable knowledge of methods of analyzing supplies and materials
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation
  • Knowledge or experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning system
  • Must be available/on-call on off hours as needed.
  • Written Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
