Job Description

Job Title:  Receiving Coordinator

Location:  Cleveland, OH

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Coordinate all incoming shipments, ensuring the proper products are received per documented requirements and by the required date
  • Ensure goods are available to production by working with Master Planner, Purchasing, and others as needed
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound shipments including import
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure accuracy of receipts
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Participate as member of the Shipping and Receiving Team in maintaining On Time Delivery

Receiving Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for inbound freight
  • Work with freight forwarders to obtain competitive freight quotes and coordinating freight for imported goods
  • Receive all inbound shipments
  • Verify that product and quantities match the packing lists and purchase order, noting deviations to such
  • Coordinate quality inspections for inbound shipments (as required)
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to flag late deliveries or other issues regarding deliveries
  • Manage Kanban receipts
  • Ensure that purchase orders are completed, monitor open purchase order report to ensure proper closer
  • Notify individual recipients of inbound packages
  • Manage receipt of customer returns per procedure
  • Ensure that all procedures and work instructions are followed
  • Perform shipping duties as needed for back up or during peak shipping periods

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a shipping & receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Specific experience executing duties as defined in position profile
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with import / export logistics
  • Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment
