Purpose of Position:

The Receiving and Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products within the facility. This role ensures inventory integrity through effective management of receiving processes, stock control systems, and compliance with organizational standards. This supervisor will support the development of the Delivery Value Stream in Building 5. They will lead the inventory control team to prevent inventory discrepancies, support operational efficiency, contributing to overall business goals and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in logistics and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving Operations

  • Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with vendors and carriers to resolve delivery discrepancies or damaged goods issues.
  • Manage the documentation of received goods, including packing slips, invoices, and system updates.

Inventory Control

  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or overages and coordinate replenishment activities.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and train receiving and inventory control staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

Warehouse Organization

  • Oversee the proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory to maximize efficiency and minimize damage or loss.
  • Implement and maintain 5S or similar organizational practices to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking inventory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with IFS system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Cleveland, OH is $60,000 to $85,000 annually.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, type and years of experience within the industry, education, etc.
