The Opportunity:

Be a part of a dynamic, close-knit team of mid- to senior-level professionals. The Scrum Master will actively lead and coach their team through the entire software development process. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Scrum Master who will be responsible for activities associated with delivery of customer-defined and software projects
  • Coach the team on use of Agile/Scrum practices
  • Implement, enforce, and continually improve Agile/Scrum principles/ practices
  • Provide mentoring and coaching for the team on Agile processes, methods, and practices
  • Coach with a positive attitude. This is not a project manager position, although our SMs are leads that enable the product teams to succeed
  • Facilitate positive team dynamics to help maximize team performance
  • Identify and remove impediments to help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team’s ability to deliver
  • Responsible for facilitating or participating in scrum events, sprint planning, sprint demoes, and retrospective meetings
  • Interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders including customer Product Owners
  • Facilitate internal and external communication and improve transparency 
  • Maintain and use relevant metrics that help the team maximize team performance
  • Support development of product roadmaps
  • Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects or tasks
  • Collaborate across Scrum teams and with engineers, analysts, and support personnel
  • Schedule and allocate work, providing advice and guidance, and resolving problems to meet technical performance and objectives
  • Ensure product quality and timeliness of efforts

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • SAFe Certified Scrum Master certification
  • Secret clearance is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment
  • Detail and process-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Team Player

Desired:

  • Experience using Agility
  • Familiarity with Java Software Development
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$62,200-$130,600
