This role will work closely with the SAP Accounts Payable Technical Product Owner to provide critical project management, requirements, design support for enhancing and consolidating legacy ERP system functions onto the 1ERP SAP S4/HANA Finance & Supply Chain platform. This functional/technical role will support implementing and enhancing Accounts Payable and business partners SAP functional procesess working closely with IT counterparts and Business partners on project deliverables.
This role will specifically focus on the SAP Accounts Payable area that includes business partners, Invoice Processing, Payments, Banking, Ariba Integration and Concur Travel and Expense functions. Knowledge of Accounts Payable transactional processes, end-end ERP Finance and SC processes are important skills for this role to deliver cross functional ERP solutions. This role will focus on supporting business/technical process enhancement roadmaps by prioritizing change backlogs.
As a SAP Accounts Payable consultant, you will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Designing, building, testing and implementation of work product, participating in requirements gathering, validation of architecture, creation and review of functional designs and testing activities.
Defining the business problems, defining user stories, proposing and creating solutions as well as support project processes and deliverables.
Involving in functional area project management and oversight.
Leading and facilitating meetings and discussions to elicit business requirements to define and deliver system solutions.
Driving end-to-end process and solution leadership to successfully complete large impactful programs on time with well-managed scopes and costs
Managing Stakeholder engagement to ensure buy in and support of business requirements and designs.
Articulating the problem statement and openly bring up challenges, roadblocks and impediments, negotiate, influence and drive solutions with team members for tactical and strategic enterprise business capabilities
Having a flexible and collaborative work approach to solve complex problems meeting customer specific requirements
Ensuring solutions are in compliance with Verizon policies and procedures or direct impact on the re-design of existing policies and procedures
Establishing and overseeing effective issue resolution, change control, and risk management processes
Creating and maintaining comprehensive project plans for implementation components assigned
Managing compilation of schedule, status, and metric updates at project and team levels; report appropriately to all levels of governance
Providing cross-functional Solution Design across teams.
Working on requirements gathering from business users, IT professionals, etc.
Synthesizing business requirements across functional departments (cost allocations, intercompany settlements, consolidations, regulatory compliance, tax, labor accounting, asset and project accounting)
Working interactively across Business and IT teams to support development of business solutions
Coordinating integration activities with external applications
Managing cross functional testing impacting multiple groups and applications
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in SAP FI Accounts Payable module and knowledge of ERP Systems and processes.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Project Management or related discipline.
Experience with large system program implementations (SAP, PeopleSoft).
Experience in Agile methodology
Expertise working on Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense, Concur and Ariba.
Ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced changing environment.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and organizational skills and the ability to deliver across management levels.
Demonstrated highly developed cross team leadership skills and the ability to manage internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $113,000.00 and $210,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
