Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Security Specialist to join a long-term program that is funded through 2027. This is a hybrid opportunity that is on-site 3 days/week in NE Washington, DC. The Security Specialist will ensure accurate and timely processing of security clearances in support of the Peace Corps. This is a direct placement opportunity.

Responsibilities for the Security Specialist:

  • Initiate Public Trust and National Security Clearance investigations and processes in E-Qip and E-App
  • Provide assistance to candidates throughout the background investigation process
  • Maintain documentation, provide appropriate forms, update and assist with data scrubbing, and maintain statistical reports
  • Follow federal security laws and regulations, communicate effectively with customers, and recommend new procedures to foster efficiency

Required Qualifications for the Security Specialist include:

  • 2+ years of experience with Security Clearance processing
  • Knowledge of E-Qip, PIPS/CVS applications, and/or USAccess
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Must be able to pass a succesful credit check and drug test prior to starting

Compensation for the Security Specialist include:

  • Salary Range: $70,000-80,000 **depending on experience**
