Note: This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds - flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.

Job Summary:

As part of the OFSAA development team, this Senior Engineer will analyze business requirements and drive research to design technical solutions. This individual will be involved in sourcing of data from source systems using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or other ETL tools into the Oracle Financial System Analytical Application Framework (OFSAA) and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the OFSAA application software. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
  • Translates business requirements into (OFSAA) designs and map data elements from sources to the OFSAA data model.
  • Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
  • Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
  • Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
  • Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
  • May lead assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
  • May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of / Skills in:

  • Knowledge on OFSAA Architecture, OFSAA Data Model required.
  • SQL, PL/SQL modules such as packages, procedures, functions, other database objects.
  • ETL/ Data Flow Principles. Extracting, loading of data from source systems into the OFSAA platform.
  • OFSAA technical and business metadata design, developments such as T2T, DT, DQ, PMF, GL Recon.
  • Knowledge on OFSAA Architecture, OFSAA Data Model required.
  • Experience on the Java, J2EE, REST API is also preferred.
  • Unix and Shell scripting.
  • Job scheduler tools like BMC Control-M, Autosys.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education/Previous Experience:

  • Bachelor%26rsquos Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or combination of education, training and experience.
  • At least to five (5) years of experience in Design, Development and Support of Data-Driven, all aspects of SDLC in a highly scalable multi-tier applications in distributed environments is preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting, especially in the area of CECL and CCAR are a plus.
  • Previous experience with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Reporting are a plus.
  • Financial services and/or enterprise level experience is highly preferred.
