QUALCOMM’s Corporate IT organization has an opening for a candidate with deep expertise in Google Workspace Administration. This position will reside in a team that provides enterprise technologies and solutions to the entire Qualcomm workforce. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter working with minimal supervision, adaptable, great communicator, results driven, and have a desire to investigate and implement solutions for a large, multi-faceted, Fortune 500 company.

What you'll do:

The responsibilities of this individual will have a focus on administering aspects of Google Workspace. This will include, but not be limited to, monitoring and maintenance, infrastructure and client support, and project/upgrade work for the supported services and technologies.

  • Provide support for Google Workspace services by handling incident management, problem management, conducting root cause analysis, and reporting.
  • Work closely with our Global Operations teams to address escalated issues and offer necessary guidance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices, including third-party tools and integrations.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Google Workspace environment, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of the Google Workspace system.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and settings within Google Workspace.
  • Conduct regular system audits and generate detailed reports on usage and security.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to integrate Google Workspace with other systems and applications.
  • Lead and manage data migration and integration projects.


What you'll bring:

  • Strong expertise in Google Workspace administration, Gmail, RTC (Real-Time Collaboration), Collab (Collaboration tools), eDiscovery, Licensing, etc. including but not limited to migration services, user and group management, security settings, system configuration and compliance features.
  • Strong understanding of email protocols and standards, including IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol), SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance).
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be productive in a team environment and help contribute to a positive team effort.
  • Experience with managing and leading projects, and working with global teams.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Google Apps Script, Python, or similar.
  • Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification is a plus.
  • Experience with other cloud-based productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Exchange Online) is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud-based or on-premises email security tools (e.g. Proofpoint Enterprise Protection) is a plus.
  • Experience with other cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g. Slack) is a plus.
  • Good understanding of Networking and IT infrastructure.
  • Good understanding and experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Good understanding and experience with data migration and integration tools (e.g., BitTitan MigrationWiz or similar).
  • Scripting experience with other scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell).

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
