Job Description:

CACI has an immediate opening for a Senior Logistics Analyst (SLA) to provide Naval Forces Logistics (NFL) tasking support at COMNAVSURFPAC (CNSP) located at Naval Base San Diego, CA. 

The Senior Logistics Analyst will provide expert guidance and advice on military pay matters to command leadership, finance personnel, and service members. Responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of military pay transactions, including basic pay, allowances, entitlements, and deductions, while also conducting regular audits to identify errors, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • SLA will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs on military pay regulations, procedures, and systems for finance personnel and command staff, and assisting in the development and implementation of military pay policies and standard operating protocols.

  • Serve as a point of contact for pay-related inquiries, addressing issues and concerns from military personnel, and generating reports to analyze data related to pay transactions and compliance metrics.

  • Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and external stakeholders will be essential to support military pay operations and initiatives.

  • Responsible for evaluating current NTCSS Logistics software operations.

  • Prepares written reports/presentations to site lead analyst indicating solutions or possible alternatives in rank of desirability and probability of success.

  • Develops, analyzes, conducts operational audits.

  • Prepares follow-up reports evaluating effectiveness of system implementations.

  • Determines topics, target audiences, and resources necessary to develop and present Navy automated supply systems courses.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have a current DoD SECRET Security Clearance to qualify.

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business discipline. As a substitute for the degree, eight years of “hands-on” experience in a combination of automated supply/maintenance management may be utilized.

  • Training related to the “degree substitute” provided at Navy schools is considered “hands on” experience.

  • In addition to any experience that is substituted for education, the Senior Logistics Analyst must have eight years of demonstrated experience with Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Deployable Disbursing System (DDS), Navy CASH, logistics and financial management.

  • Automated supply systems refers to NTCSS (R-Supply and OMMS-NG) systems used on Navy Ships and ashore commands.

  • Must have expert level knowledge with MS Office Suite products (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Possess strong verbal and writing skills to effectively prepare, update and brief daily reports.
