Position: Server Technical Program Manager (TPM)

As an experienced Server Technical Program Manager (individual contributor), you will lead technical program management for the platform team, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, including SoC, software, firmware, SIPI, and packaging. You will drive planning, address complex challenges in high-performance platform development, and facilitate seamless production transitions for server products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical program management for next-generation server platforms within a matrixed organization across multiple teams and global locations.
  • Provide hands-on program management across analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Define and manage program requirements, scope, schedules, and deliverables with engineering teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, manage change, actively communicating with stakeholders to drive solutions.
  • Oversee daily activities and quality assurance by establishing and tracking milestones, plans, and project tasks, managing feature requests, and balancing schedules with product value.
  • Drive process improvements across teams and functions.
  • Communicate regularly with project leads and internal teams, providing senior management with updates on milestones, budgets, metrics, risks, and mitigation plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems or hardware engineering or technical product/program management.
  • Experience with server hardware systems and interfaces.
  • Proven experience working with technical teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Strong ability to build working relationships across multidisciplinary teams and global time zones.
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release schedules, and working in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, coordination, multi-tasking, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems or hardware engineering and hardware project lifecycle management.
  • Expertise in enterprise servers and components (e.g., CPUs, FPGAs, memory) and data center architecture.
  • Experience with server technologies, including board design, SIPI, thermal and mechanical aspects, BIOS, BMC, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods and practices.
  • Experience working with CMs, OEMs, ODMs, and suppliers in product development.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills, with experience managing complex program lifecycles, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$192,600.00 - $330,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
