What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI-SOAS Irregular Warfare (IW) and Unconventional Warfare (UW) Planner, you will serve Special Operations Command Europe SOCEUR, conducting IW/UW planning and analysis in support of COMSOCEUR, Plans, Objectives and Emerging Threats mitigation efforts provide quality control of deliberate, crisis action, and contingency planning. IW/UW functional plan development and validation, coordination, integration executed by the CMD and its partners. You will provide support to SOF and conventional organizations by combining IW/UW concepts and doctrine with structured analytical and planning techniques to provide expert advice to policy makers, planners, and operational forces engaging these threats.

More About the Role:

You will embed with SOCEUR to assist operational and tactical planning with the SOCEUR staff and subordinate units. Provide IW, UW, expertise integrating intelligence doctrine, operations, policy, authorities, and lessons learned to support senior leader decision making. Conduct and consolidate foreign partner nation representative coordination and planning to develop foreign partner nation capability and capacity. Lead, conduct, and validate research and analysis and prepare information papers, decision papers, and briefings to inform command leadership. 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance. CI Poly or ability to obtain a CI Poly.
  • Master’s degree in a related field and 3 years of specialized experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of specialized experience; OR 10 years of specialized experience.
  • Former Special Operations field grade officer, warrant officer, or senior non-commissioned officer with a minimum of six years recent relevant specialized experience as a U.S. Army Career Military Field / Military Occupational Specialty 18-series soldier or MARSOC Advanced Skills Element or Critical Skills Operator 0372 Raider.
  • Candidate must be an Advanced Special Operations Training Course (ASOTC) (or equivalent) graduate;  Special Warfare Training Course (SWTC), Jedburgh Individual Training Course (JITC) or ASOT Manager’s Course graduation is preferred. 
  • Applicable Pathway Defeat operational experience or CWMD course graduation highly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience conducting, supporting, and/or managing sensitive activities and the Joint Planning Process is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written; possess the ability to organize and deliver verbal and written products that achieve an exceptionally high standard.
  • Critical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight or as part of a diverse team. 

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • More than six years SOF Advisor
  • More than six years of operations-intelligence and or security assessment support and analysis experience within the DoD or IC.
  • More than six years of military experience, and/or a combination of military and IC Agency experience
  • SOF Operational Design and workflow
