Working as a part of the central strategy team, the role requires you to primarily work with the Senior leadership team from the delivery units and all support teams to create, evaluate, implement, make improvements and govern organization-wide strategic initiatives. Program management skills along with a good grasp on emerging technologies, setting up centers of excellence and engaging with the startup ecosystem are key requirements for this position. Exposure to programs related to Innovation would be a critical component.
What you will be doing....
Engaging with Startups
Connect/ Interact with startup ecosystem
Work with our partners to bring in the best of startups to drive innovation for VzI
Improve the overall process in terms of engaging startups
Translate ideas into full blown solutions that helps address unarticulated needs of the organization
Performing customized market research and monitoring Business & Technology trends
Review and analyze information through different reports and researches
Develop and present recommendations for the management
Communication & Reporting
Arrive & adhere to a standard reporting , review & communication mechanism on activities related to Startup engagement, CoEs, Market Research, External Engagement and Knowledge Management services
Implement the new operating model
Build strategic partnership with BU teams across VzI and GTS
Theme and problem statement based approach
Calendarized approach to all inward focus initiatives - target at least 1 campaign per BU every 6 months
Process efficiency improvement
Increase conversion rate of startup deployment
Clearly defined patent process and communication of the same to the larger audience
Run campaigns to drive participation in VzT Live
Calendarized approach with at least one internal event organized per month
Create awareness and actively contribute towards building the innovation culture within the organization
Partner with external companies to provide external opportunities for the organization
Create the unified engagement calendar and drive participation in external and internal events
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for…
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Four or more years of relevant work experience
Experience in Business Operations / PM function
Good exposure to the startup ecosystems
Proven track record of success in driving /managing process improvement efforts and excels in identifying new areas of opportunity
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A go-getter with strong sense of ownership and accountability
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently and drive issues to resolutions
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Good communication skills - spoken and presentation(decks, insights etc.) skills
Market Research - providing insights to the leadership team
PMP or any equivalent certification preferred
