POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior HR generalist provides generalist expertise, advice, and counsel in areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, labor relations, employment law, health and safety, workers’ compensation, organizational development, performance management, training, relocation, and recruiting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word 'May.')
- Create, assign, collect, manage, and analyze data from various employee-facing surveys including new hire surveys, 90-day interviews, and exit summaries.
- Handle the termination process of employees within the Paycom system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Resolve performance discussions within the Paycom system, collaborating with both management and employees to ensure comprehensive and appropriately documented information.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Serve as a readily accessible contact point for employee inquiries, delivering precise and timely information to effectively address concerns and issues, as well as referring complex and or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Conducts thorough workplace investigations in coordination with HR management team and in accordance with company policies and local and federal laws.
- Develop and maintain the new hire orientation presentation, ensuring it's up-to-date, informative, and aligns with company values and policies.
- Play an active role in new hire orientation sessions, delivering presentations and onboarding information to foster a positive and engaging experience.
- Perform post-new hire orientation review to facilitate a smooth transition from onboarding to on-the-job training, offering comprehensive support and guidance as required.
- Provide support for ad-hoc functions aimed at enhancing the overall employee experience and aiding the strategic initiatives of the Employee Experience manager.
- Data entry and maintenance within systems housing competency course information.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment aptitude and competency assessment(s).
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
- Proficiency in understanding and navigating federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, coupled with the capability to implement suggested optimal strategies. Proficiently assesses policies and procedures to ensure adherence with regulatory standards.
- Adept comprehension of current trends, exemplary methodologies, regulatory modifications, and emerging technologies within the realms of human resources, talent management, and employment law.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or 5-7 years of related work experience.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience in employee engagement, HR operations, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency with HR software systems, particularly Paycom, for employee data management and processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and establish positive working relationships.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

The Senior HR Generalist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Senior HR Generalist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, Senior HR Generalist should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
