Job Description Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Manager to join the Global Merchant Lending team as a Merchant Lending International Commercial leader. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team and help drive a range of short-term and transformation initiatives to help shape, implement, and manage the organization’s operating plan, strategy, engagement and special projects. Responsibilities include development of strategic plans and progress against them, Go To Market strategy, P&L responsibility and team engagement/culture.  

• Global merchant leading has been providing financing solutions to Small Business owners since 2013 and is a market leader in FinTech lending. Our team leads the strategy and commercialization of new offerings in conjunction with product, engineering, risk strategy, sales, design, marketing and other teams.

Job Description:

Your way to impact

  • Partner with GML leadership to define and drive a strategic vision, along with helping to drive OKR/goals planning and tracking.  
  • Support our product leaders in maintaining an up-to-date product roadmap that ties to the Commercial team’s priorities/ KPIs
  • Identify opportunities for simplification and productivity improvements
  • Deliver the analysis and associated actions necessary to enable continuous improvement  
  • Create, implement and drive key initiatives and strategic plans
  • Be a thoughtful steward of the cultural values we strive for as a company (collaboration, innovation, inclusion, wellness) and an ambassador of for enterprise-wide activities  

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day role, you will

  • Partner with Commercial leads to define cross-functional dependencies and monitor progress against agreed upon milestones
  • Lead growth and optimization initiatives with particular focus on marketing and risk strategies (e.g., enhancement of risk policies, marketing/targeting strategies, customer experience, etc.) by developing business cases, establishing financial objectives, and action steps necessary to execute.
  • Analyze recent trends and performance across products & channels.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable to key deliverables, potentially having tough conversations when deliverables are at risk
  • Maintain routines to measure and monitor progress such as ongoing initiative tracking, , monthly business review, and other executive deck updates (e.g., Bank partners, board of directors, etc.) as needed.
  • Identify direct and cross-functional resource needs and facilitate resource planning discussions to creatively find ways to close gaps
  • Coordinate RFPs (create or responses) on behalf of the ML team
