General Summary:

Job Overview

Qualcomm is looking to hire a Senior Accountant within the Treasury accounting team to work with various departments within the Treasury and Ventures as well as various corporate finance functions to support complete and accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on role performing tasks related to various Treasury and Investment accounting and the financial reporting process, including:
 

  • Accounting and reporting of various treasury functions, including treasury investments (primarily marketable debt securities), ventures equity and debt investments, foreign exchange and interest rate risk hedges, as well as company’s debt issuance and redemption through a thorough analysis of accounting practices in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare quarterly reporting schedules to fulfill various SEC reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, which encompasses the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations.
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders, such as Treasury Operations, Ventures, Legal, and Tax.
  • Drive initiatives for process enhancements and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Management, or related field.

•    4+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$79,200.00 - $118,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
