General Summary:

Qualcomm Technologies is looking for a tech-savvy, self-motivated communications leader to lead the Snapdragon product communications team supporting the Mobile, Compute, XR, Wearables and Hearables businesses.  

The individual will be responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of communications programs supporting these businesses, including product launches, events, and always-on media/analyst/influencer relations programs. This individual will lead a team accountable for:

  • Development and execution of long and near term; reactive and proactive communications strategies for these businesses.
  • Counselling business leaders on Communications programs and strategies in support of business objectives and management of any reactive issues.
  • Driving the development of multimedia communications assets
  • Driving the execution of activations that move the needle towards Snapdragon being viewed as a culture brand
  • Strong media and partner relationships that can be used to drive proactive storytelling outside of product launches, lead competitive issue management and drive product launches cross all businesses.
  • Managing relevant incoming media inquiries, recommend responses, and content.
  • Managing agency and in house resources in support of communications initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to create internal alignment across marketing activities and planning and represent the plan to executives.  
  • Manage business unit reporting and budget.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 9+ years of Public Relations or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in marketing or public relations within the technology space (smartphone/cellular/compute/AI or applicable industry)
  • Experience leading press/media relations, analyst relations, and influencer relations programming
  • Experience leading global media events, media tours, product launches, etc.
  • Experience with consumer marketing
  • Able to positively lead a team in fast paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to work well and influence others across the organization (marketing, engineering, product management, executives)
  • Ability to prioritize effectively across simultaneous projects

Pay range:

$168,600.00 - $253,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
