General Summary:
Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Job Function:
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our AP functional Linux performance test team. This position will be a key team member responsible for ensuring platform performance across all tiers of Qualcomm mobile products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute platform performance tests, including but not limited to benchmarking, user experience, and system loading analysis.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities, and provide improvement recommendations. Conduct top-down analysis from the application layer to the microarchitecture layer.
- Participate in technical research and the introduction of new technologies related to performance testing.
- Manage test requirements and schedules, design and optimize test plans, publish test reports, and communicate with stakeholders across all sites.
- Develop and optimize automation test scripts and tools to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of system test/development experience on Android platform products. Familiarity with Qualcomm platform is a plus.
- Experience in performance testing and optimization.
- Experience in automation test development using Python, Java, C, C++, etc.
- Experience in managing or coordinating across multiple functional teams and sites is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Quick learner with an open mind.
