Opportunity::

The responsibilities of a System Administrator/Engineer include installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks; monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues; ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls; upgrading systems with new releases and models; developing expertise to train staff on new technologies; building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring software and hardware
• Managing network servers and technology tools
• Setting up accounts and workstations
• Monitoring performance and maintaining systems according to requirements
• Troubleshooting issues and outages
• Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrading systems with new releases and models
• Developing expertise to train staff on new technologies
• Building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

Qualifications:

Required:

• - Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• - Security + Certification
• - 3 years of experience maintaining network, video, servers, workstations, and peripheral hardware and related software.
• - Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
• - Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers and technicians with less experience.
• - Demonstrated experience with Tier-2 desktop customer support

Desired:

• - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
• - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$65,000 - $136,500
