Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Linux Administrator to join a long-term aerospace and defense program located in San Diego, CA. The Network Specialist will assist with end-user desktop support across numerous Marine Corps installations worldwide. This position requires an ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE.

Responsibilities for the Linux Administrator:

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
• Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments
• Fault finding, analysis, and of logging information for reporting performance exceptions
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning

Qualifications for the Linux Administrator:

• 5+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator
• Experience in Linux+, RHCE, RHCSA, LPIC- 1: Linux Administrator, LPIC- 2
• Linux Engineer or LPIC- 3: Enterprise Linux Professional Certification
• Familiarity with VMWare and virtualization concepts and/or Docker or Podman Containers.
• Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Must have an Active TS/SCI Clearance

Compensation for the Linux Administrator:

• Salary Range: $70,000-120,000/year **depending on experience**
