Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a System Engineer who will support a government contract located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities for the System Engineer:

• Responsible for system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities for all storage systems.
• Responsible for configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, all versions and sub-version upgrades, and all aspects of the availability of the storage systems.
• Responsible for working with vendors as necessary to ensure proper functionality.
• Act as Tier 2 response in operations environment where resolution cannot be handled by on-site Tier 1 staff and where storage presentation or recovery is warranted.
• Provisions, Administers, Monitors, and Maintains current NetApp storage technologies.
• Provides professional service level and subject matter expert level design and testing of a new Lab/Development infrastructure and a new virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Assist with system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities on all Cisco UCS devices, to include Tier 2 support.
• Assists with provisioning, administering, monitoring and maintaining current Cisco UCS/VMWare networking technologies. 

Qualifications for the System Engineer:

-         5 years of experience in System Engineer

-         Experience with NetApps Administration

-         Active Security Clearance TS preferred but will sponsor TS clearance

-         Bachelor’s degree

Compensation for the System Engineer:

• $170,000 – $220,000 *Depending on Experience.
