This Senior Product Manager will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Cisco SD WAN, Juniper Mist and HPE Aruba Central technologies; Product Manager is expected to commercialize a product from an Idea engaging several stakeholders both internal and external to Verizon.Responsible for integrating and  enhancing products and services across the Virtual Network Services portfolio. The role’s mission is to provide industry perspective and knowledge to multiple product managers in the VNS product portfolio to drive the direction and innovation aligning with the overall company goals and market demand. SME will be overseeing SD-WAN, SASE, and other VNS related product development playing a pivotal role in driving the growth, and management of these advanced network solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of VNS product offerings, networking technologies, telecom environments, and enterprise customer needs. The SME will work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide technical expertise and ensure that products are developed, launched, and supported to meet business objectives and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and provide industry expertise for SD-WAN, SASE and other VNS products development and distribution.

  • Understand market trends and drivers of next generation network and security needs and work closely with the engineering network teams to provide technical support for the product line development and enhancements.

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding and a passion for network business and previous working background in network technology and/or services.

  • Provide technical expertise based on the industry knowledge and support multiple product managers to define product strategy and develop product roadmap for VNS portfolio.

  • Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and lead technical discussions providing border industry perspective on Managed Enterprise network services, SD-WAN technologies, network virtualization/SDN technologies, and a variety of SD-WAN vendors, such as Cisco Viptela, Silver Peak, Versa, VeloCloud, Fortinet, etc.

  • Ensure communication with leadership and provide regular updates to executives on future industry trends and current product development.

  • Must have both a technical and commercial understanding of the network business.

  • Creative writing skills and the ability to put complex technical matters into an abstract/easy to understand business proposition.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of experience in Virtual Network Service, advanced networking, or telecommunications products.

  • Experience working with engineering teams for new products and existing product enhancements.

  • Must have both a technical and commercial understanding of the network business.

  • Deep data and analytic orientation for evidence-based decision making.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field.

  • Understanding of Verizon domestic and global product offerings across MNS and SD-WAN portfolio.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and motivating/inspiring them to go the extra mile, even in uncertain circumstances.

  • Experience providing support to product management and engineering teams in multiple regions.

  • Experience prioritizing and executing multiple projects at a time.

  • Passion and determination to make a difference in the communications industry and in our world.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $119,000.00 and $241,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
