The Opportunity:

As a CACI Systems Integrator and Robotics Engineer, you will embed with the Special Operations Command EUROPE (SOCEUR) Head Quarters, Panzer Kaserne,

located in Stuttgart, Germany. Travel may be required to other locations, both OCONUS and CONUS, to perform services in support of SOCEUR mission requirements.

Responsibilities:

 

You will support the ongoing operations and innovation development of European Theater Special Operations, enabling the SOCEUR Command to be able to accomplish mission objectives.  The Embedded Systems Integrator and Robotics Engineer will focus on UXS (Unmanned Systems) technologies to include aerial systems, surface vehicles and ground vehicles, to include the maritime environment. This role includes developing ROS2 applications, interfacing and working with Mavlink, Pixhawk, FPV, and fabrication. The position will be responsible for integrating embedded systems, develop custom electronic/mechanical solutions, and work on the complete lifecycle of UXS projects. This role demands a high level of technical proficiency, innovation, and the ability to work independently.

  • Develop and integrate UAS technologies: Work with ROS2 (Robot Operating System), Mavlink communication protocol, Pixhawk flight controllers, and FPV (First-Person View) systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of embedded systems: Design, implement, and test embedded systems for UXS applications.

  • Fabrication and prototyping: Create prototypes and fabricate custom electronic components and systems for UXS.

  • System integration: Integrate various hardware components and ensure seamless communication between systems.

  • Software development: Write and optimize software for UXS control and automation, including flight algorithms and communication protocols.

  • Hardware configuration: Install and configure flight controllers, sensors, and other UXS hardware.

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance: Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of UXS systems.

  • FPV systems: Implement and optimize FPV systems for real-time video transmission and control.

  • Project management: Manage the lifecycle of UXS projects, from concept, design and development to deployment and testing & validation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with goals.

  • Compliance and safety: Ensure all UAS systems comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Valid US Passport  

  • Minimum Security Clearance – TS/SCI

  • Bachelor’s in engineering/computer science/Robotics Technology

  • Master’s degree and three years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience, or ten years of relevant work experience.

  • 6+ years’ experience working in the Special Operations/IC Community

  • Project Management Experience

  • High Degree of Proficiency of working with Computer Aided Design (CAD)

  • Experience in working in the Robotics Field

  • Proficiency in ROS2 Development for UXS ends state 

  • The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Desired:

  • More than three (3) years of experience working in a Joint Staff or Sub-Unified Command environment.

  • Experience leading development or operational test activities in a DoD environment.

  • Recent experience supporting USEUCOM.

  • Experience managing teams of software and hardware developers.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
