As primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals.

The Private Credit & Hedge Fund Product Specialist team is responsible for managing specific product strategies. The team will work with Client Solutions and Capital Markets (CSCM) leadership and investment team leadership to conduct capital campaigns and manage client experience for private credit and hedge fund products. Team members are involved with defining the investment strategy, articulating the role of the strategy within a client’s portfolio, crafting the marketing approach and message, presenting to the strategy’s investors and helping navigate them through the diligence process, and understanding our programs alongside other industry participants. This role engages with internal teams within Goldman Sachs, as well as directly with external clients around the world, across all investor types. Product Specialist team members work within product verticals but also collaborate across strategies, to share best practices and identify portfolio-wide solutions. We are looking for an Associate to join the team.  

Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of sleeve level marketing materials
  • Preparation of briefings and materials for client meetings
  • Maintaining and distributing product and fund and investment specific data.
  • Coordinating and assisting with follow-ups from client meetings
  • Responding to client questionnaires about our investing platform
  • Assisting in client coverage and interactions with the products major clients

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong academic background – finance or research preferred. MBA or CFA preferred
  • Up to 2.5 years work experience
  • Knowledge of and high degree of intellectual curiosity on alternatives investment strategies.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with different deadlines and different stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent work ethic.
  • Advanced facility with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior investment banking, investor relations or capital markets experience is an asset.
